Debt-to-Income Ratio (DTI)

DTI is the percentage of gross monthly income used to pay debt obligations.

Explanation

Lenders use DTI to assess repayment capacity. Lower DTI generally improves access to credit and borrowing terms.

Example

If monthly debt payments are 900 and gross income is 3,000, DTI is 30%.
